Cliff Cottage Inn’s elves are excited to let you know October 13&14 is a red-letter weekend for lovers of that quintessentially American form of music known as Bluegrass. Afficionados of  plucking, strumming and fiddling will be able to enjoy hours of free concerts from some top Bluegrass ensembles and it is all just a few steps from Cliff Cottage Inn. The free music will begin downtown in Basin Spring Park on Friday2:00 pm to 7:00 pm and continue Saturday1:00 pm to 7:00 pm.  Better get there a little early if you want a seat in the park, or BYOChair!

All the musical entertainment is free, so kick back and sit awhile in our beautiful Victorian village’s bandshell park. There will also be FREE shuttles available to Hillberry Harvest Moon Festival (www.Hillberryfestival.com) going on some miles out of town!

And if you know how to play the banjo, you can borrow the innkeeper’s to take down to Basin Park to play, but you’ll have to also know how to tune it! Sandra had it with her on her sailboat when she spent 7 years single-handing her boat in the Pacific. Sadly, pulling up all her sails caused severe blisters (eventually callouses!) on her fingers and trying to strum that banjo was almost as painful as having a lobotomy!
