Eureka Springs will once again play host to Banjo Rally International, scheduled for August 28-31, 2013. The fun begins with a free banjo rally at Bear Mountain Log Cabins where you can bring your own banjo or just come and listen to all the great banjo tunes wafting over the clear Ozark air. Then Banjo Rally International continues in Eureka Springs with plenty of performances, workshops, tutorials, etc. For more info on this event, take a look at the banjo rally’s website: www.banjorally.org.
Sandra is a big fan of banjo music, having taken her banjo along on her 38-foot sailboat during a 7-year sailing odyssey in the Pacific. She couldn’t take her beloved antique square petit grand piano, so she settled for an accordion, a banjo, and a lute. In remote anchorages up and down the Pacific coast she would take out her instruments and her sheet music and serenade the dolphins, sea turtles, and flocks of sea birds that seemed to congregate around her.
Banjo Rally International is a great reason to stay with us at Cliff Cottage Inn. We are just 17 steps down to Main Street and access to the City Auditorium (the Aud) and Basin Park where so many of the festival concerts and jam sessions will be held.
